POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Accountable for sticking to firm and center policies and treatments. Accountable for preserving a safe and protected environment for youth, themselves and other personnel. Makes everyday regular assessments of detention center, monitoring and advising employees in the care and custody of youth and makes sure that appropriate safeguards are kept for the apprehended youth.

MINIMUM CREDENTIALS FOR THIS POSITION CONSIST OF THE FOLLOWING REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL UNDERSTANDING, ABILITIES AND CAPABILITIES:
Understanding of the Department of Juvenile Justice Detention Providers Handbook, Federal and State guidelines and policies, and DJJ and center policies and treatments.
Capability to monitor personnel and youth.
Capability to physically manage and engage with violent youth.
Capability to work overtime hours in order to guarantee personnel protection and keep security.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS:
A minimum of one year of supervisory experience and 3 years experience dealing with at threat youth.
SPECIAL NOTES:
