Research study hiring college students to track asymptomatic COVID transmission after vaccine

Researchers released a National Institutes of Health-backed research study with thousands of college students to identify whether Moderna’s COVID vaccine can avoid asymptomatic spread of the infection.

The state of play: The study, which released Thursday, is looking for 12,000 college students to volunteer throughout 21 schools, consisting of the University of Maryland, the University of North Carolina, Texas A&M and Indiana University.

  • Some trainee volunteers can get paid practically $1,000 to take part fully.
