WASHINGTON (Reuters) – President Joe Biden told 10 leading union leaders on Wednesday that his $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief plan and a separate procedure to modernize U.S. facilities would enhance the U.S. economy and develop millions of good-paying jobs.
” We rank something like 38 th in the world in terms of our facilities – everything from canals to highways to airports,” Biden stated, underscoring the requirement to increase U.S. competitiveness.
To underpin the revitalization of U.S. infrastructure, Biden stated he was backing Democratic legislation that would expand registered apprenticeships and produce some 1 million new chances for young people in structure trades and in other places.
Barber’s group is satisfying privately with Manchin on Thursday to persuade him to back the wage walking.
