This advertisement is for a Profession Service position situated at Circuit 06- C Pinellas/Pasco Intake in Largo, Florida.

SALARY WILL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH EXISTING PAY POLICY.

PARTICULAR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Obtains, translates and establishes statistical, monetary and technical information into the various Bad guy Justice computer system systems in accordance with Department Policies & Treatments. The incumbent assists expert personnel accountable for the guidance of transgressors in translating, examining and categorizing this information.
  • Uses independent judgment to examine, validate and modify info from a range of source files from circuit and sub-offices into computer system accepted formats using video terminal equipment of the Management Info Systems (MIS), National and Florida Criminal Activity Information Centers (NCIC/FCIC) and regional Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) and develops this data, using standardized codes. Such source files consist of culprit files, court orders, law enforcement records, intake forms, syntax, deal signs up, cost of guidance payments and waivers, progress reports and management and officer recognition statistics. Makes additions, modifications or corrections to electronic culprit records as needed.
  • Transmits and obtains wrongdoer and applicant investigative info and communicates messages through Management Details Center (MIS), Florida Crime Details Center (FCIC) and National Law Enforcement Telecommunications Systems (NLETS) in accordance with Federal, State and Department Rules and Laws, Procedures and Laws. Translates retrieval responds to non-equipment users.
  • Responses queries from licensed workers in Department of Corrections and other firms concerning Management Details Systems (MIS), National and Florida Criminal Offense Details Center (NCIC/FCIC) and Crook Justice Information System data.
  • Complies with all security policies relating to personal and sensitive details. Maintains records of dissemination of details and completes NCIC/FCIC recognition reports.
  • Performs regular preventative upkeep of the equipment

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Capability to arrange information alphabetically, numerically, and categorically.
  • Ability to strategy, arrange, and coordinate work projects.
  • Ability to communicate efficiently.
  • Ability to operate video and telecommunications terminals and other workplace devices.
  • Capability to read and analyze police information.
  • Capability to check out and translate state statutes.
  • Ability to follow complex coding guidelines.
  • Ability to establish and maintain reliable working relationships with others.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or its equivalent and 3 years of clerical or criminal justice program experience. Vocational/technical training in the area of law enforcement, information processing or secretarial science, or any college coursework from a certified institution can replacement for the required experience at the rate of 30 terms, 45 quarter or 720 classroom hours for each year of the required experience.
