Trump's Obstruction of Justice and the Running of the Clock: A Statute of Limitations Discussion

featured image

The report released by Special Counsel Robert Mueller thoroughly recorded as a number of 10 felony blockage of justice criminal activities by Donald Trump. We are now on the brink of the five-year statute of restrictions ending on a few of Trump’s criminal offenses. Unless charges are brought by the Department of Justice quickly – or unless there are sealed indictments lodged which would stop the statute of constraints from ending – the clock will abandon our capability to hold Donald Trump responsible for a few of his criminal offenses.

An absence of openness eliminates public self-confidence in our organizations of federal government. It’s time the Department of Justice to assure the American individuals that it is not planning to let the clock start to abandon the democracy-damaging criminal offenses devoted by Donald Trump.
