Getting Out and Staying Out (GOSO) and other leading criminal justice and reentry organizations in New York City brought together 2021 mayoral candidates to present their positions on key issues from reentry to incarceration, policing in schools and communities, barriers to housing for justice-involved individuals, mental health, and criminal justice reform. The purpose of the event is to understand Mayoral candidates’ positions on crucial criminal justice policy issues and how they propose to address systemic problems.
