TASK SUMMARY/PURPOSE

The Security Shift Manager (SSS) reports to the Security Operations Manager (SOS). The Security Shift Manager offers supervisory oversight and guidance to a group of Gatekeeper at an Entergy nuclear plant. SSS has supreme obligation for their appointed security groups’ efficiency. This position is likewise accountable for offering safe, reliable oversight for the application of the Website Security’s NRC-approved Physical Security Strategy and carrying out treatments, in accordance with 10 CFR7355, and Entergy’s service policies, treatments and requirements.

TASK DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Offering direct guidance to their appointed Gatekeeper and perform and keep all designated supervisory tasks; Examining Gatekeeper discipline and workers records in accordance with EN-HR-135 and EN-HR-138 treatments and Security department files; Administering Entergy’s MARC progressive discipline procedure for their direct reports (Gatekeeper); Carrying out examinations of Gatekeeper and offer input for reward and benefit; Identifying, examining, and mentoring for succession preparation and advancement of Gatekeeper.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum education needed of the position

High School diploma or GED is needed, or comparable work experience.

Desired: Bachelor’s degree in Bad guy Justice, Engineering or other discipline typically related to plant operations.

Minimum experience needed of the position

Nuclear plant, military, supervisory, or police experience

Desired: 3 years of supervisory/management experience at an operating nuclear reactor and experience monitoring union and agreement workers.

Minimum understanding, abilities and capabilities needed of the position

Technical efficiency in Nuclear Security or the capability to get it quickly. Technical understanding of nuclear generation concepts and operation. Efficiency with existing computer system company applications. Exceptional interaction, dispute management, and alter management abilities.
