penitentiary tukthuset in Trondheim is a structure and previous organization situated at Kongens gate 85 on Kalvskinnet in Trondheim which was integrated in the duration 1733–1788 The penitentiary is the nation’s earliest institutional structure and was initially developed as an university or penitentiary for so-called “loose people”, however from 1788 up until 1971 the structure worked as a jail and work organization, while in the duration 1737 to 1830 it was a training space for the ill and soldiers.
