Minimum Credentials

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a forensic science, criminology, chemistry, biochemistry, biology, social science or criminal justice field.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 4 (4) years of experience in criminal offense scene examination and analysis including the recognition, collection, conservation, record keeping and assessment of proof in the assistance of police.

EQUIVALENCY( IES):

  • High school diploma/GED plus 8 (8) years of the needed experience will fulfill the education and experience requirements.
  • A partner’s degree or greater in any field plus 6 (6) years of the needed experience will fulfill the education and experience requirements.
  • A bachelor’s degree or greater in a non-specified field plus 6 (6) years of the needed experience will fulfill the education and experience requirements.
  • A master’s degree or greater in a defined field plus 2 (2) years of the needed experience will satisfy the education and experience requirements.

LICENSE( S) and/or ACCREDITATION( S):

  • Legitimate motorist’s license with excellent driving record.

OTHER REQUIREMENT( S):

  • Should have or have the ability to get within twelve (12) months of hire any International Association for Recognition accreditation.

CHOICE( S):

  • Reliable oral and written interaction abilities.
  • MS Workplace or comparable software application abilities.
