Full-time position offered with KCMO’s General Provider Department, Facilities Department, 414 East 12 th Street. Typical Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8: 00 a.m.-5: 00 p.m.
Monitors the work of a moderate sized force of gatekeeper accountable
for keeping order and the security of community home. Develops treatments
to make sure efficient security of important locations. Examines security infractions, mishaps,
emergency situations and disruptions. Makes arrests for offense of laws or regulations. Prepares
work schedules to supply appropriate security defense treatments for a range of
activities and structures within a designated location. Check outs websites to which secondary
gatekeeper have actually been designated.
Observes and assesses work efficiency. Evaluations reports of actions taken as
sent by secondary gatekeeper. Maintains records and prepares reports.
Gets visitors and keeps control signs up. Checks out electronic and telephone security
systems as required. Reports required repair work. Carries out associated responsibilities as needed.
NEEDS high school graduation and ownership of certificate of conclusion of a
acknowledged cops academy at the state, county or local level and 3 years of
experience as a completely commissioned policeman; OR a certified Partner’s degree
in criminal justice, police or associated location and 1 year of accountable
security and/or police experience; OR high school graduation and 5 years of
accountable security and/or police experience. Should be qualified to acquire a
unique authorities commission as released by the KCMO Authorities Department. Need to pass a pre-
work drug screen and post-offer health examination as recommended by the City.
Income Variety: $1664-$2686/ hour.
