POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for sticking to firm and center policies and treatments. Accountable for keeping a safe and protected environment for youth, themselves and other personnel. Makes day-to-day regular assessments of detention center, monitoring and advising employees in the care and custody of youth and guarantees that sufficient safeguards are kept for the apprehended youth.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must be presently utilized by the Department of Juvenile Justice.
Knowledge of the Department of Juvenile Justice Detention Services Manual, Federal and State guidelines and policies, and DJJ and center policies and treatments.
Ability to monitor personnel and youth.
Ability to physically manage and engage with violent youth.
Ability to work overtime hours in order to guarantee personnel protection and keep security.
SPECIAL NOTES:
