Task Description: The Unique Education Instructor establishes unique education trainees’ success in academics, social abilities and activities of day-to-day living by executing district authorized curriculum; recording mentor and trainee progress/activities, results; attending to trainees’ particular requirements; supplying a safe and optimum knowing environment; and supplying feedback to trainees, moms and dads and administration relating to trainee development, expectations, objectives, and so on. This task reports to Principal. Credentials: Education: Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree chosen. Certificates & Licenses: Legitimate Virginia Department of Education License with a recommendation in Unique Education, or eligibility to get one. Settlement: This position receives an extra action positioning on the Certified Wage Scale under the umbrella of Specialized Guideline. Vital Functions: Adapts class work to offer trainees with training products that deal with customized knowing strategies within recognized lesson strategies. Administers developmental screening programs, subject particular evaluations, and so on to examine trainee proficiency levels and/or establish specific knowing strategies. Recommends moms and dads and/or legal guardians of trainee development to interact expectations; trainee’s accomplishments; establish approaches for enhancement and/or enhance class objectives in the house environment. Counsels trainees to enhance efficiency, health status, issue resolving strategies and a range of individual problems. Shows techniques needed to carry out class and/or topic particular tasks to supply a reliable program that deals with private trainee requirements. Directs assistant instructors, trainee instructors, training assistants, volunteers and/or trainee employees to offer an efficient class program and deal with the requirements of private trainees. Advises trainees to enhance their success in scholastic, social and day-to-day living abilities through a specified core curriculum. Handles trainee habits to offer a safe and optimum knowing environment. Displays trainees in a range of instructional environments (e.g. class, play ground, school trip, nap times, and so on) to supply a safe and favorable knowing environment.
