State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:

A high school diploma and supervisory experience in Correctional, Security or authorities work.

A Bachelor’s degree in Human Providers or Bad guy Justice field might replacement for the needed supervisory experience.

(Or an appropriate equivalency as authorized by the Department of State Person Resources).

SCDC Minimum Requirements:

  • 3 (3) years experience in Correctional Security or Cops work.
  • One (1) year of Correctional Supervisory experience.

Should be licensed by the South Carolina Department of Corrections Training Academy and effectively finish the Standard Supervisory Course within 6 (6) months of entry into the position. Need to have the ability to work any shift/hours.
