TASK DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Pennsylvania Commission on Sentencing is looking for candidates for an Education and Outreach Professional to offer direct services including education and outreach for Pennsylvania criminal justice specialists, and to supply personnel assistance for the advancement and execution of policies embraced by the Commission. This position is accountable for: interacting the work of the Commission to criminal justice stakeholders; preparation and providing instructional workshops for specialists, such as judges, district attorneys, defense lawyer, and probation and parole officers; supplying technical help to and establishing outreach products for these criminal justice professionals; structure and sustaining expert relationships with criminal justice partners; representing the Commission in different committees and work groups; and helping in the preparation of products for factor to consider by the Commission.
The Commission is a legal company connected with the Criminology Department at The Pennsylvania State University. The Commission has a workplace on the University Park school and a workplace situated within the Capitol Complex in Harrisburg. This position will mainly operate in the eastern area of the state and be based at the Capitol Complex place.
The Commission’s legal requireds consist of duties in the locations of sentencing and resentencing standards, parole and recommitment varieties, danger evaluation, and other responsibilities. Normal Education and Experience Requirements:
Generally needs a bachelor’s degree or greater plus 4 years of associated experience, or a comparable mix of education and experience.
Extra Preferred Education, Experience, or Accreditations:
A degree in criminal justice, public administration, or an associated field is chosen. Experience in offering training is chosen.
Extra Required Competencies:
