TASK SUMMARY:

The Education Manager for trainees with impairments will help in the advancement and assessment of curriculum for trainees with impairments in accordance with Federal and State laws and treatments, and Department of Juvenile Justice policies

TASK PARTICULAR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supply assistance for Mentor and Knowing throughout scholastic settings by speaking with instructors, finding products, linking instructors with curriculum professionals, and notifying instructors of expert advancement chances
  • Offer assistance for habits intervention and discipline throughout DJJ school settings by observing trainees, speaking with instructors, modeling techniques, helping with symptom decisions, and notifying instructors of personnel advancement chances
  • Offer official and casual expert advancement to instructors (month-to-month training) and administrators
  • Interact regularly with school administrators concerning personnel issues and discipline
  • Participate in all suitable IEP conferences (legal, adult issues, and initials, and so on)
  • Work together with instructors, psychologist, and administrators to fulfill timelines for IEPs and examinations
  • Team up with low occurrence experts on an as requirement basis
  • Team up with structure test planner to make sure compliance of District and Statewide Evaluations
  • Total detailed preliminary, re-evaluation eligibility reports
  • Maintain re-evaluation and preliminary examination logs
  • Offer correction of noncompliance in a prompt way
  • Offer prompt and precise information submission
  • Inspect ended IEPs and eligibility reports in Go IEP weekly and react in a prompt style
  • Work together with the case supervisor, lead instructor, clerks to develop a procedure of going into and leaving SWD
  • Total one class observation per website month-to-month
  • Inspect IEPs for compliance prior to conferences and completion
  • Offer help in the advancement of Individualized Education Plans for brand-new and having a hard time unique education instructors. Assists in the advancement of information collection techniques
  • Function as LEA when neutral assistance or specific proficiency is required
  • Evaluate and analyze curriculum-based information to enhance trainee results and total program efficiency in conference externally enforced requirements.
  • Take part in activities which cause continued expert development consisting of basic education expert advancement
  • Display IEP’s by means of Go-IEP

  • Evaluation LRE for each SWD
  • Recommend modifications with educational practices as required for SWD

  • Capability to work efficiently with school administrators and lead instructors
  • Supporters free of charge and proper education for trainees with impairments
  • Usage electronic programs to handle information and info

MINIMUM CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s Degree in Education (Needed)
  • Minimum of 5 (5) years of effective unique education mentor experience

PREFERRED CREDENTIALS:

Choice will be provided to candidates who have a minimum of 2 of the following:

  • Proficiency with a range of training methods
  • Management Accreditation
