TASK SUMMARY:

Leads the operation and administration of a correctional organization or system. Develops and carries out proper security and center policies and treatments. Directs secondary managers and personnel. Will handle great deals of firm personnel or have big scope of

duty within company.

TASK PARTICULAR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Display and examine security associated procedures and functions.
  • Establish and assist carry out suitable security and center policies and treatments.
  • Assistance and direct secondary managers in addition to other institutional personnel
  • Administratively evaluation and code SIR’s and input SIR’s into the OQA database
  • Recognize training requirements and supply assistance and training to correctional personnel.
  • Carry out a range of administrative tasks, case management and evaluation services.
  • Assist strategy all elements of security functions, assistance services, domestic operations, treatment services and shows.
  • Function as PREA compliance supervisor, emergency situation management organizer, and complaint officer.
  • Screen security operations and vulnerabilities by means of Closed Circuit Tv
  • Perform and examine consumption evaluations, psychological health danger screening, and go to treatment group conferences.
  • Examine programs and activities to figure out efficiency.
  • Offer guidance to secondary personnel.
  • Establish and carry out restorative actions.
  • Conduct audits and center assessments.

MINIMUM CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an associated field from a certified college or university AND 4 years of straight associated experience in a criminal justice or correctional system, 2 years of which with management experience
  • OR 4 years of supervisory custodial experience in a criminal justice or correctional system, 2 years of which at a level equivalent to a supervisor in a police setting
  • OR 4 years of straight associated experience in a criminal justice or correctional system, eighteen months of which experience is needed at the lower level Supervisor, Correctional Administration (PSM080) or position equivalent.
  • Note: Some positions might need P.O.S.T. accreditation.

PREFERRED CREDENTIALS:

Choice will be provided to candidates, who in addition to satisfying the minimum requirements, have 2 or more of the following:

  • 3 or more years of work experience handling security in a correctional setting.
  • Several years of experience handling and keeping an eye on a budget plan.
  • Experience in carrying out appropriate security and sanitation requirements, along with search and seizure treatments.
  • Certificate of conclusion from the Correctional Management Institute, Command College, or comparable program.
  • POST Accredited Management coursework (Management 1, 2, 3)
