Arizona has actually prohibited detainees from checking out a book that goes over the effect of the criminal justice system on black guys, drawing protest from First Change supporters who state the relocation is censorship.

The American Civil Liberties Union contacted the Arizona Department of Corrections today to rescind the restriction on “Chokehold: Policing Black Male.” The book by Paul Butler, a previous federal district attorney, analyzes police and mass imprisonment through its treatment of African American males.
