YWCA Cass Clay is presently hiring for a Full-Time Shelter Supporter. The Shelter Supporter is accountable for collaborating extensive case management services for females calling YWCA’s Emergency situation Shelter house. The Shelter Supporter will likewise preserve the security and security of locals.

Task Responsibilities:

  • Offer weekly case management services to consist of: evaluation of requirements, individual objectives, and strategy advancement, keeping an eye on the execution and assessment of goals/plans in partnership with the homeowner
  • Offer assistance and resources for customers; great working relationships with assistance networks, federal government resources, and neighborhood resources
  • Coordinate and rearrange neighborhood resources to YWCA individuals
  • Perform consumption evaluations to confess females and kids to the YWCA Shelter
  • Accountable for orienting all homeowners to the YWCA Shelter and implementing guidelines and policies
  • Maintain upgraded records of present locals consisting of admittance, homeowner’s log, interaction log, bed list, kid defense, and so on
  • Make sure security of the shelter by properly reacting to phone, door buzzers, locks, security systems, emergency alarm systems, and security list
  • Make sure locals are provided with required products (food, clothes, etc)
  • Offer off-site customers with food baskets and products
  • Train and supply feedback to interns, volunteers and shelter assistants
  • Take part in OnCall rotation to help with shelter and real estate programs
  • Prompt and trusted participation is needed
  • Other responsibilities as designated

Certifications:

  • Female (BFOQ)
  • Bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences (i.e. social work, CDFS, sociology, criminal justice, human services)
  • Licensed in Emergency Treatment and CPR
  • 2 years experience in offering case management services chosen
  • Fulfills all background check requirements
  • Should have the ability to work alternate hours consisting of on-call and weekend/evening shifts
  • Should have exceptional oral, composed, and social interaction abilities
  • Understanding of domestic violence, homelessness, mental disorder, chemical dependence, and kid advancement concerns is necessary
  • Understanding of regional neighborhood resources and the capability to work within social systems
  • Should have a legitimate chauffeur’s license and existing car insurance coverage
