Task Title: ACT Therapist

Reports To: Program Director

FLSA Status: Exempt

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

The ACT Therapist operates at an optimum level of self-reliance and duty, typically sharing duty for lots of company operations with the Program Director. Most of time is invested supplying direct services in the neighborhood. The ACT Therapist establishes preliminary and continuous treatment strategies and uses private, household and group therapy and psychiatric therapy to help customers in attaining the objectives of treatment.

OBLIGATIONS:

  • Accountable for the management of customer charts.
  • Performs extensive behavioral health evaluations.
  • Supplies extensive integrated treatment interventions to customers according to the ACT approach of in-the-field treatment.
  • Establishes preliminary and continuous treatment strategies.
  • Offers program assessment and education to neighborhood members.
  • Able to interact with others in customer service system to collaborate care.
  • Case Management tasks.
  • Files customer development based on developed standards.
  • Starts and assists in groups where suitable.
  • Consistently performs lethality and psychological status evaluations.
  • Carries out toxicology screenings at a figured out frequency.
  • Uses a damage decrease design in treatment.
  • Seeks Advice From the Program Director and psychiatrist concerning reaction to treatment interventions.
  • User interfaces with the criminal justice system and psychological health court as a customer supporter.
  • Takes Part In 24- hour, on-call rotation.
  • Set up and designated responsibilities undergo alter based upon the requirements of the program and the customers we serve.

REQUIRED UNDERSTANDINGS AND ABILITIES:

  • Able to set versatile healing limits and criteria.
  • Has working understanding of neighborhood resources.
  • Able to fulfill the customer “where she or he is at,” in the healing continuum.
  • Able to acknowledge and handle customer crises.
  • Shows imagination in service shipment and preparation.

CREDENTIALS:

  • Has a Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Therapy, Psychology, Rehab Therapy
  • Specialist (QHP) accreditation conference NYS Workplace of Mental Health meaning for expert personnel
  • 1 year of expert work experience in a medical psychological health setting.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) capability a plus.

AND

  • A legitimate NYS motorists’ license.
  • Auto in great working order.
  • Should have Recognized NYS Defensive driving course; or get within 15 days of hire.
  • Needs to keep Active NYS Defensive Driving class every 3 years, upon expiration.
  • If driving one’s own car, should preserve legitimate assessment and auto insurance coverage.
  • Needs to offer evidence of insurance coverage upon hire and when asked for.
