Task Description

Position positioning can either be at Virginia Correctional Center for Women (2841 River Roadway West, Goochland, VA 23063) or State Farm Work Center (1954 State Farm Roadway, State Farm, VA 23160).
Adds to the company’s public security objective by directing day-to-day activities of security managers and support personnel as shift leader in an institutional setting. Coordinates and evaluates the work of others on designated shift to make sure a safe, safe and secure and efficient environment. Leads, establishes and counsels personnel. Accountable for work schedules, task lineups and efficiency management system for personnel. Carries out continuous evaluations to guarantee compliance with security post audit, policies and treatments governing all elements of institutional operations. Interacts with management, personnel, visitors, wrongdoers and the general public to preserve organized and safe and secure operations.
Minimum Certifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Legitimate Motorists License. DCJS Accreditation. Progressive security working experience within the Virginia Department of Corrections. Comprehensive working understanding of department policies, institutional policies, running practices, treatments, and transgressor programs. Working experience preparation, scheduling, and/or arranging work for others to consist of timekeeping and task lineup management. Substantial experience in the guidance of corrections personnel. Capability to adequately get, comprehend, follow, and provide oral and written guidelines. Working understanding in making use of guns, radio devices, physical control gadgets, electrical and electronic controls.
Preferred Certifications
Prefer coursework in Wrongdoer Justice or associated field, LEAD graduate or comparable suitable experience or training. Prefer understanding and experience with Proof Based Practices. Prefer working understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook programs.
