MUST HAVE A VALID CONCEALED PISTOLS LICENSE (CPL)

SCOPE: Armed Security Officers are responsible for protecting the site’s building, grounds, assets, employees, tenants and visitors against criminal activity, accidents, and fires. Armed Security Officers in this region will protect one of the States most critical infrastructures: our military bases! You will work on a team to control access to the facility at all entry/exit points and will perform vehicle patrols around the grounds as well. This is your opportunity to work on a team and serve a truly critical purpose!

A few “Must Haves” before applying for this position: Must be Customer Service Orientated

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Must have a State of Michigan Valid Concealed Pistols License
  • Must be a United States Citizen.
  • Must be a High School Graduate or have a GED.
  • Must be able to stand or work outside in the elements for long periods of time.
  • Must have no more than 3 driving tickets within the last 3 years.
  • Must be able to pass a Physical Agility Test within 90 days of hire, and annually thereafter. The PAT includes activities such as sprinting, sit-up’s, push-up’s, and a mile and a half run (all activities are timed events).
  • Must be willing to adhere to our grooming and appearance policy.
  • Must be willing to take on other duties as assigned

  • 1st / 2nd / 3rd Shift
  • Part Time Shifts available 16-29+ hours per week.
  • Full Time available 30-39 hours per week.

LOCATION: Selfridge Air National Guard Base in Mount Clemens, MI

WHAT TO EXPECT Phone Interview – Review of our basic qualifications as well as your work history and future goals.

  • Virtual or On-site Interview- Interview with the Recruiter or Site Supervisor. Get the opportunity to see the site location and understand what the role entails.
  • Job Offer- Talk to our Recruiter about the specifics of the job offer, as well as next steps in the On-Boarding process.
  • Background Check & Online On-Boarding Activities
  • In-Office Orientation
  • Basic Officer Training – Video and Hands-on training regarding skills and techniques important for all Security Officers. CPR/1st Aid Training, Blood Borne Pathogen Training and Social Engineering Training.
  • Meet with our HR Team- Complete your onboarding process, issuing of uniforms, and photo ID badge, meet with your Operations Manager.
  • Hands on Training – Defensive Tactic Training.
  • Physical and Drug Screening – You will be expected to pass a physical and drug screen at a specified medical location.
  • On the Job Training (OJT)- You will complete anywhere from 2-40+ hours of On-The-Job training, learning the client-specific policies and procedures of the location within the base that you are assigned to. You will also be completing Weapons Qualification.
