Minimum Education/Training/Experience
High school diploma or GED.
Present TCOLE mandated needed training.
Fundamental peace officer accreditation with a minimum of 2 years of full-time police experience.
Preferred Education/Training/Experience
Partner’s degree in an associated field of criminal justice.
Active shooter action training or accreditation.
5 years of full-time police experience.
Minimum Understanding & Abilities
Should have an understanding and capability to analyze, use and implement the laws of Texas and U.S.
Need to have an understanding and capability to translate and impose COM policies.
Needs to have an understanding of police concepts and treatments.
Should have an understanding of criminal offense avoidance concepts.
Should have understanding and the capability to use protective strategies in accordance with the law.
Should excel with the use of guns and experienced with the legal application of releasing a weapon.
Should have a standard understanding and the application of emergency treatment treatments.
Needs to have the capability to examine intricate scenarios and utilize profundity in making noise choices.
Should have the understanding and ability to perform interviews and interrogations in the course of examinations.
Should have a working understanding of de-escalation concepts.
Needs to have the ability to keep individual control when handling challenging individuals.
Needs to be computer system literate and have skilled report composing abilities.
Needs to comprehend the concepts of chain-of-command.
Should excel with oral and written interaction.

– Legitimate chauffeur’s license.
– Legitimate peace officer’s license.
– Standard peace officer accreditation.

Task Tasks
Proactive patrol of college residential or commercial properties to protect order.
Reacts to public security emergency situations, grievances, or issues, and administers correct treatments to make sure public security.
Performs criminal examinations.
Imposes parking and traffic policies and controls and directs traffic.
Inspects and keeps the physical security of college structures and centers.
Offers public help requirements such as; dive beginning and opening cars, courtesy escorts, and promoting unique statements.
Prepares appropriate criminal offense and event reports for a designated shift.
Reacts to and carries out traffic mishap examinations.
Takes part in social work activities.
Carries out police responsibilities needed to serve the general public and preserve public security.
Finishes all work project in a prompt way or by due dates.
Physical Requirements
Positions in this class usually need: running, climbing up, balancing, stooping, kneeling, bending, crawling, reaching, standing, strolling, pressing, pulling, lifting, fingering, understanding, sensation, talking, hearing, seeing and recurring movements.
