Position: Public Security Officer Sr. (This is an armed position)
Area: Christ Medical Center; Oak Yard, IL.
Full-time; Graveyard Shift
Function:
Preserves a safe and secure environment at the cutting edge of service to secure individuals, details, and residential or commercial property. Proactively determines and fixes possibly hazardous, harmful, or risky scenarios or dangers. Functions as the Officer in Charge in the lack of department management, help cutting edge leaders with tasks and training.
Position Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Usually needs 4 years of experience in a security or public security function that consists of experiences in reacting to emerging circumstances and recognizing and dealing with problems that position a possible threat to clients, visitors, personnel and/or residential or commercial property, or conclusion of 30 credit hours in a Bad guy Justice, Authorities Science, or comparable core curriculum from a recognized college or university and 3 years’ work experience with 1 year of experience in a security/safety function.
- Illinois employee need to have finished State of Illinois 20 ~ hour Basic Gatekeeper course for IL websites geared up with guns, the State of Illinois 40 ~ hours is needed.
- Illinois employee need to be qualified to look for the State of Illinois Permanent Staff Member Registration Card (PERC) within 30 days of hire and should acquire and preserve within 180 days of hire.
- Shown capability to work out fully grown judgment and sound thinking while preserving a considerate and skillful behavior in transactions with workers, visitors, and clients, even if they are verbally aggressive individuals.
- Demonstrated experience in rapidly examining hazardous scenarios and taking proper action.

- Capability to work a versatile scheduling consisting of off ~ shifts, weekends and vacation, as essential.
- Capability to fulfill and keep existing Department training requirements in radio interactions, spoken de ~ escalation, stabilization, CPR, application of medical restraints, etc
- Gatekeeper health care accreditation (CHSO) provided by the International Association for Health Care Security and Security (IAHSS) requires to be acquired within 2 years, and
- Legitimate chauffeur’s license
- Gun Owners Recognition (FOID) Card provided by the Illinois State Authorities, and/or Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) license provided by the Department of Justice (DOJ).
- Needs to sit, stand, stroll, and drive throughout the workday and should raise to 35 pounds. sometimes. Need to have the ability to push/pull with 35 pounds of force.
- Temperature level in workplace (when outdoors) might differ in between ~ 10 to 90 degrees due to seasonal modifications.
- Might be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical, explosive, and radiation threats. Protective clothes should be used as needed.
- Runs all devices required to carry out the task.
- Capability to protect self and/or others in case of physical fights.
