Criminal Justice Majors get Hands-On Experience in Digital Forensics

featured image

Hi, my name is Devon and I’m a criminal justice graduate from DeSales University.

Being able to make a difference in people’s lives is really important to me. I’m currently working in the field for the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office as a digital forensic analyst.

Technology is always changing: increased encryption, different operating systems, etc – and that presents a challenge for digital forensic analysts.

I got an internship here at the lab when I was a senior at DeSales University. The opportunity that I had at DeSales to be working in the field was really nothing like people had ever seen — there was nothing to compare it to. Being able to work hands-on on in the field, the things that I was doing in class academically really translated into the experience in the field that I wanted to go into.
