Summary
This position is accountable for direct customer care, the execution of evidence-based preparedness and shift shows services for a caseload of individuals. Appropriately, it examines and recognizes scientific problems and produces clear goals and objectives. It likewise tracks and records individual development in case reports while working to fulfill all needed internal and external agreement requirements and policies.
Main Responsibilities and Duties
- Finishes extensive evaluation of prisoners’ drug abuse history and treatment requirements and establishes customized treatment strategy. File all evaluation and treatment preparation.
- The Drug abuse Therapist will be designated to either Intensive Outpatient, Outpatient, Avoidance or Restorative Neighborhood depending upon functional requirements
- This position will bring a caseload of 25-50 customers
- Provides specific counseling/group lectures and didactic discussions weekly based upon the locations of Regression Avoidance, Anger Management, Parenting abilities, Life Abilities, Lawbreaker & Addictive Behaviors, and Co-occurring conditions.
- Helps with psycho-educational/behavior adjustment groups utilizing concepts of the “What Functions” system. Files individuals’ participation, involvement and development in Business database.
- Performs risk/need evaluations and develops private treatment prepare for each appointed individual. Satisfies frequently with individuals and files individuals’ development or fall back in Business database (when offered).
- Keeps precise medical paperwork consisting of consumption summaries, group notes, discharge summaries, treatment strategies and updates. Updates healing logs in a prompt way. Gets in important details into Business database (when readily available).
- Guarantees that individuals’ records are properly finished in a prompt way.
- Determines issue locations that might affect individuals’ capability to effectively total treatment. Guides individuals to establish techniques to conquer challenges to success conclusion of treatment.
- Might encourage Consumer of individuals’ development routinely or at conclusion of treatment.
- Might keep a particular drug abuse treatment case apply for every program individual.
- Uses crisis intervention methods if an emergency situation develops
- Uses dispute resolution methods

Task Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from a certified college or university in any of the social sciences and 6 (6) months of expert experience in chemical dependency therapy and/or psychological health therapy; or
- Bachelor’s Degree from a certified college or university in any unassociated location of research study and one (1) year of expert experience in chemical dependency therapy and/or psychological health therapy; or
- Master’s Degree from a certified college or university in any of the social sciences; and 6 (6) months of expert experience in chemical dependency therapy and/or psychological health therapy; or
- Master’s Degree from a certified college or university in any unassociated location of research study; and one (1) year of expert experience in chemical dependency therapy and/or psychological health therapy; or
- Licensed Dependencies Expert (CAP), Licensed Lawbreaker Justice Addictions Expert (CCJAP), Qualified Partner Addictions Expert (CAAP), Qualified Wrongdoer Justice Partner Addictions Expert (CCJAAP); or
- A Partner’s Degree from a recognized college or university and 4 (4) years of expert experience in chemical dependency therapy and/or psychological health therapy; or
- A High School diploma/GED and 6 (6) years of expert experience in chemical dependency therapy and/or psychological health therapy.
- Choice provided to experience within a correctional setting.
- Capability to engage in an expert way in both specific and group therapy settings.
- Outstanding oral and written interaction abilities.
- Capability to deal with a group of specialists and have the capability to carry out group technique approaches to work tasks.
- Capability to deal with computer systems and the needed software application usually utilized by the department.
