Correctional Medical Partner - C. Moore System

The objective of Correctional Managed Care is to resolve the health care requirements of underserved client populations within the Texas Department of Lawbreaker Justice (TDCJ) and the Texas Juvenile Justice Department (TJJD).

TASK SUMMARY:

To supply varied administrative, clerical, and technical assistance/service within a correctional health care center through electronic info systems management, medical records processing, or products inventory/procurement activities.

IMPORTANT TASK FUNCTIONS:

Administrative Functions:

Products Management Functions:

Keeps appropriate stock levels and stock records in a center supply storage room or storage facility.

Fills appropriations, work orders and products demands, returning expired/unused materials to suppliers for credit.

Keeps center devices and carries out work orders as required.

Clinically Delegated Functions:

Carries out jobs handed over by doctors and monitored by Registered Nurse personnel.

Shows proficiency to carry out fundamental center type jobs laid out in authorized the Proficiency Based Orientation Tool.

Complies with internal controls and reporting structure.

Carries out associated responsibilities as needed.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/LOCATION:

Work environment is situated within the boundaries of a jail, prison or juvenile detention. Security clearance is needed; pre-employment drug screening is likewise needed.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

High school or equivalent in associated field and 2 (2) years associated experience in administrative assistance, medical, service or relevant associated fields.

Wage is commensurate with years of pertinent work experience.
