Under basic guidance of the Significant or Designee:

  • Will help with the management of prisoners with psychological health issues in the Broad River Secure Center.
  • Functions carefully with psychological health and security personnel in carrying out everyday escort and group activities to consist of a hybrid of security and scientific responsibilities.
  • Files and prepares composed reports in accordance with psychological health and security standards.
  • Helps with guidance of prisoners by developing an encouraging environment, promoting core SCDC worths to prisoners with psychological health requirements.
  • Under assistance of QMHP, performs psycho-educational groups and other pro-social activities that certify as out of cell structured time.
  • Helps with custody associated tasks, accompanying, guidance of leisure and showers, cell checks, suicide watch/constant observation for prisoners in inpatient settings, domestic psychological health real estate systems, limiting real estate, and basic population.

This position lies at Broad River Correctional Organization (Secure Center).

Needs to effectively finish SCDC Standard Training upon hire.

State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:

A high school diploma and supervisory experience in Correctional, Security or Cops work. A Bachelor’s degree in Human Providers or Bad guy Justice field might replacement for the needed supervisory experience. (Or an appropriate equivalency as authorized by the Department of State Person Resources).

SCDC Minimum Requirements:

A Bachelor’s Degree in a human services or criminal justice field.
