WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Detox Treatment Expert will operate at our Whatcom Neighborhood Detox area in Bellingham, WA., which offers a monitored setting for the safe withdrawal from alcohol and other drugs. The Detox Treatment Expert is accountable for examining somatic conditions, providing medications according to treatment, offering physical care, social and support in partnership with other personnel, and for producing a beneficial group environment for the efficient treatment of each customer.

PRIMARY JOBS CONSIST OF:

  • Finishes admission, discharge, and healthcare evaluations in accordance with program policy and procedures.
  • Keeps track of customer’s crucial indications along with keeping track of for signs of withdrawal.
  • Administers emergency treatment.
  • Reacts to emergency situation circumstances and offers intervention in accordance with program procedures.
  • Translates and describes program policy to each customer.
  • Helps customers with access to cleansing, treatment, and other assistance services.
  • Files observations of habits, physical symptoms and signs and mental requirements, medication shipment, continuous health evaluation requirements and significant health and wellness concerns in each customer file according to program policy.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • High School Diploma or comparable and one year experience in the human service field
  • You have the capability to offer favorable, passionate inspirational therapy and intervention to drunk people
  • You will finish 40 hours of recorded training within 1 year of hire in accordance with WAC 388-877-0500
  • Legitimate Food Handler’s authorization within one week of hire
  • Present CPR/1st Help training within 30 days of hire, to be kept throughout work

IDEALLY YOU’LL BRING

  • Course work, experience, or training in human advancement, chemical dependence, group characteristics, property treatment, or associated disciplines
